The Department of Government at Eastern Kentucky University seeks an Assistant Professor, tenure track, specializing in human resource management, beginning August 15, 2014.  In addition to offering an undergraduate major in Political Science, the Department houses a NASPAA-accredited MPA campus and on-line program, as well as an undergraduate major and post-baccalaureate certificate in Paralegal Science.  Teaching load is 12 hours per semester. Applicants should be, or have the potential to be, an active scholar as well as a high quality teacher. Candidates will be expected to teach one or more core courses in the MPA program, with demonstrated ability to develop and teach fully online courses. Preference will be given to candidates who can teach other elective courses in the undergraduate or graduate program related to public personnel management or organization theory. The candidate will also be expected to teach introductory and upper-division courses for the undergraduate Political Science program.  Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in Political Science or Public Administration, specializing in human resource management, from a regionally accredited or internationally recognized institution by the time of appointment on August 15, 2014.  ABD's will be considered with PhD completion required by date of appointment.  Interested candidates must apply online at to requisition number 0615049.
