The University of Utah School of Dentistry invites applications for tenure-track and career line (non-tenure track) research faculty at the assistant, associate or full professor ranks. As the first new School of Dentistry at a major academic health center in over three decades, our mission is to create clinician scholars, researchers and educators to advance dentistry and improve oral health. We have a singular opportunity to define the future of dentistry at our institution and for our profession!  


Successful candidates will have a dual DDS/PhD or MD/PhD degrees or a PhD degree and a track record of innovation and excellence in the fields of craniofacial, oral, dental or related research with a history of extramural funding and quality publications. Besides establishing a vibrant and externally funded research program, selected candidates will be expected to mentor DDS and graduate trainees and contribute to teaching foundational sciences in the School of Dentistry.   The School of Dentistry offers competitive salaries and excellent start-up financial, equipment, space and mentoring resources.
