UC Clermont invites applications for this faculty position beginning August 15, 2014 unless otherwise indicated. UC Clermont is an open admissions regional campus thirty miles east of the University of Cincinnati in Batavia Ohio with an enrollment of approximately 3500 students. The college offers a variety of certificates, transfer programs, two-year technical degrees, and a baccalaureate degree.
Assistant Professor - tenure track faculty responsibilities include teaching 12-credit hours for two semesters and availability for both day and evening classes unless otherwise indicated, ongoing scholarship/research, service to the department, college, university, and community, and willingness to participate in all departmental duties. This is a generalist position that includes teaching both literature and composition each semester as well as participation in formative assessment and curriculum development in the English area. All candidates must have the appropriate degree awarded by time of appointment.
Minimum Qualifications: Earned doctorate in English or related field with at least one year college-level teaching experience required. Demonstrated professional interest in American Literature before 1860.
