The Director of Office of Black Student Achievement provides leadership and administrative guidance, coordination, and implementation of programs and services which target students of color, particularly African American students in general. Designs and oversees program structure, manages budget and personnel responsibilities and secures operational resources of the Office Black Student Achievement. This also includes grants, and contracts, compliance and supervision, training, research, and preparation of reports and proposals. Serves as representative on university-wide diversity and external committees, as the GSU Minority Advisement Program retention Officer to the University System of Georgia. Maintains an active presence with students as well as help students connect to communities of color at large. This position reports to the Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs-Multicultural Programs.
