Position Introduction
The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Vassar College invites applications for a two-year visiting position in mathematics beginning the Fall 2024 semester.

Position Description
The teaching load for this full-time visiting faculty position is five courses per year, focused on our calculus sequence. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to inclusive excellence in teaching undergraduate students. An active research program is neither required nor expected as part of this position. However, Vassar College provides support for all faculty for teaching, research, publication, and conference travel. The ideal candidate will have a PhD in mathematics or a related field by the start date and a dedication to undergraduate education; applicants who have substantially completed the work towards their PhD will also be considered.


Salary Wage Range
Pay Transparency Disclosure: The annual base starting salary range for this full-time visiting position is $84,000 to $88,000 (USD). When extending an offer of employment, Vassar College considers factors such as (but not limited to) candidate’s education/training, work experience, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations. This salary range represents the College’s good faith and reasonable estimate at the time of posting.
