Assistant Professor in Mathematics Education
The Patton College of Education at Ohio University invites applications for an assistant professor of mathematics education in the Department Teacher Education.  We seek an individual with credentials, experience, and a record of teaching, research, and service suitable for a tenure-track position in the college.
Teaching responsibilities include undergraduate and graduate classes in the Department of Teacher Education and in particular classes in mathematics methods for teacher candidates in early childhood education, middle childhood education, and special education.  Other position responsibilities include undergraduate and graduate advising; conducting original research; writing scholarly works for publication; pursuing external grant funding to support project and research activity; participating in service to school, college, and university; and sharing responsibility for activities such as advising student professional organizations; participating in continuing accreditation activities (NCATE/CAPE); working with regional mathematics education programs; and being actively involved in professional organizations.
