The Department of Global Health and Population at the Harvard School of Public Health seeks candidates for the position of assistant or associate professor in the area of decision science and global health. This is a tenure-ladder position, with the academic rank to be determined in accordance with the successful candidates experience and accomplishments.

 

The successful candidate will be expected to develop an independent research program, play a central role in the departments research and teaching programs, and to fully engage as an active community member in the Center for Health Decision Science. S/he will teach on decision science as part of the global health curriculum, advise masters and doctoral students, and direct doctoral students in their dissertation research.

 

Candidates will hold a doctoral degree in health policy, economics, global health, public policy, operations research, or other related disciplines, with demonstrated expertise in decision sciences. The position is open to individuals with a variety of applied research interests, although there is a particular interest in candidates conducting quantitative policy research relevant to low- and middle-income settings. Prior research and/or programmatic experience relating to evaluation of health interventions and policies is highly desirable.
