ISU and the ISU Foundation are seeking candidates who want to help engage donors and open the doors to opportunity as a Director of Estate and Gift Planning. This position is responsible for philanthropic initiatives including the identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewarding deferred gifts and life income stream gifts as a key area of opportunity for Idaho State University.
Core Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Major Donor Engagement and Fundraising
- Development Relationship Enhancement Strategies
- Collaboration
- Constituent Portfolio Management
Qualifications vary based on each position and range
Minimum Qualifications include: - Three (3) to five (5) years of fundraising with experience
securing planned gifts.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related
discipline or field
- Understanding of complex outright gifts, charitable life-income
and estate gift structures. Competency using donor management and
planned giving software programs, the Microsoft Office package, and
standard office equipment.
Preferred Qualifications include: - Advanced degree in a relevant discipline/field
- Five (5) to seven (7) years successful experience and
proficiency in securing planned gifts.
- Experience with complex outright gifts, real estate gifts,
charitable life-income and estate gift structures, family wealth
planning, and multi-generational estate planning
strategies.
- Experience using Raiser's Edge donor management
system.
- Proven track record of formulating and executing effective
philanthropic strategies and growing contributions through planned
giving vehicles.
