Kent State University at Stark invites applications for a full-time, nine-month, non-tenure track (NTT) position as instructor/assistant professor of Communications Studies, beginning Fall semester 2014. The position is renewable based on continued need, available funding, and satisfactory performance.
Qualifications: A master's degree in Communication Studies required, Ph.D. or ABD preferred; record of undergraduate teaching excellence; and a collegial spirit.
Requirements: Primary teaching will be introduction to Human Communication, with potential to offer courses that support out growing programs in Organizational and Applied Communication. The NTT faculty members at Kent State University at Stark teach 15 credit hours per semester and are actively engaged in pedagogical innovation. The new colleague will be expected to maintain teaching excellence.
