The Evaluation Research Professional (ERP) plans, designs, implements, and analyzes projects within ASSETT (Arts & Sciences Support of Education Through Technology) that relate to evaluating or assessing the use of technology for teaching and learning. This position provides professional advice and contributes as a team member to collaborative projects within ASSETT. The position contributes to establishing and maintaining relevant contacts and working relationships with units on campus that have related missions, and with relevant groups of end users. The ERP implements and maintains practices that reflect current knowledge and best practices in the field. The ERP may oversee the work of one or more student employees within ASSETT, and is responsible for training and evaluating these staff.
Qualified candidates will have:
A Masters degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a field related to assessment/evaluation OR a Bachelors; degree and 2-4 years of experience in a similar position, experience in instruction in higher education, demonstrated understanding of best practices in pedagogy, demonstrated understanding of emerging media and their potential applications to learning, demonstrated expertise in multiple methods of data collection and analysis.
Additionally, candidates should be:
experienced using appropriate statistical packages such as SPSS,
competent in using online survey tools like Survey Monkey, Qualtrics, etc., familiar with typical Institutional Review Board policies and protocol, and competent in quantitative and qualitative research methods.
