The University of Georgia's Terry College of Business invites applications for two non-tenure-track faculty positions in business analytics, at the Lecturer rank, beginning fall 2014. We seek individuals with a strong commitment to and competency for superior teaching. Periodic participation in service activities with students and industry professionals is also expected. These individuals will teach a new course in the Terry College focusing on statistical inference, calculus, predictive modeling, and optimization with special attention on application of these tools within all the functional areas of business. This course will be taken by all Terry College undergraduate students as a requirement for graduation.
Qualified candidates will hold a Ph.D. in management science, statistics, quantitative methods, actuarial science, econometrics or a related field, or have extensive business or teaching experience of at least five years in a related quantitative field. The position is renewable based on performance and promotion to Senior Lecturer is possible after six years of service. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications.
