Elon University invites applications for an Assistant Director of Residence Life (three anticipated openings). The Assistant Director is responsible for the total administration of residential communities within one’s area of supervision, including supervision of staff, supporting the development of residential living and learning communities, promoting the departmental community development, and oversight of the neighborhood community budget. Serve as a student conduct hearing officer and Administrator on Call in the campus-wide duty rotation. This is a live in position. Master’s degree and residence life experience post-undergraduate degree required. Preference will be given to candidates with experience developing and implementing student life and academic affairs partnerships in a residential liberal arts environment. Experience with recognizing customer service concepts as they relate to working with primarily student and parent clients in a college setting is essential. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience and/or commitment to promoting a climate of global citizenship. He/she will have direct supervision of one part-time Area Assistant and 10-23 student staff. The position will remain open until filled. Apply at www.elon.edu/employment.
