Kent State University at Stark invites applications for a full-time, nine month, non-tenure track (NTT) position as Instructor beginning Fall Semester 2014, to teach Undergraduate Studies reading courses and to coordinate Undergraduate Studies Reading Courses for the Stark Campus.
The ideal candidate should be qualified to teach developmental reading courses to undergraduate students and other additional courses in Undergraduate Studies. The NTT faculty members at Kent State University at Stark teach 15 credit hours per semester and are actively engaged in pedagogical innovation. This position also includes duties of maintaining and coordinating the reading program.
Qualifications: A Master's Degree in Education in Reading or Literacy or closely related field and at least two years of recent teaching experience are required. Experience in teaching undergraduate students and administrative/supervisory skills in an academic setting are preferred.
