Overview

NYU's Stern School of Business has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Associate Director in the Chao-Hon Chen Institute for Global Real Estate Finance.

The Senior Associate Director will work with the faculty director to implement the strategic vision for the Chen Institute and its four centers and initiatives, including the Center for Real Estate Finance, Initiative in PropTech and Data Science, Initiative in New and Emerging Markets, and Initiative in Climate Change and the Built Environment.

The Senior Associate Director will manage all aspects of the planning and execution of Institute symposiums, seminars, conferences, programs and events. With guidance from the director, they will execute the Institute’s vision and strategic business plan, including a corporate relations and fundraising strategy in support of the research, teaching, and industry and policy engagement agendas. In collaboration with the director and the development office, they will identify and cultivate relationships with prospective donors, alumni, and key decision makers within companies to expand business and career opportunities and solicit annual gifts. They will also manage the execution of a strategic communications plan, including digital outreach and social media strategy to increase the visibility of Stern Real Estate programs externally and internally. They will also manage the planning and logistics for the Global Field Intensive program.



Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree (Master’s degree or MBA in real estate or related field is preferred) and 5+ years experience in corporate relations, managing programs, events, or fundraising or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Excellent interpersonal, communication, organization, project management and problem solving skills are required along with an ability to cultivate internal and external relationships and develop new initiatives. Knowledge of social media, interactive marketing, website development and real estate industry is preferred. Evenings and occasional weekends are required during peak periods.


Qualifications

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $85,000 to USD $105,000. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
