Assistant Dean - Curricular Affairs:

Researches, synthesizes and monitors national trends in nursing education to support the academic mission and strategic goals of the School in collaboration with the Associate Dean for Academic Programs; works in collaboration with faculty leaders on the academic review of educational programs.  Identifies educational funding opportunities; writes curriculum and student tuition related grants to support new initiatives, the development of innovative programs and student financial aid; serves as the project manager for curricular grants; manages budgets.  Oversees the State Board of PA reporting process; collaborates with MSN Program Directors on the preparation of MSN program reports; assists with CCNE accreditation process and annual reporting.  Assists Associate Dean and the Department Chairs to identify specific professional development needs for the teaching faculty; assists Associate Dean with the implementation of the Educational Teaching Series.  Manages special projects.

Minimum Qualifications:

MSN required; PhD in Nursing or related field preferred;  5-7years of experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience required.  Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize large amounts of information required. Excellent writing skills essential.  (Written samples of papers required).  Experience in grant writing highly desirable.  Strong interpersonal and organizational skills needed.   Results oriented with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines within a fast paced environment.  Knowledge of clinical teaching pedagogies and electronic teaching methodology with solid PC and related skills needed.  Eligibility to be registered as a nurse in the state of PA a plus.  Prior supervisory experience preferred.
