Applied Math Fellows
The Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences seeks
applicants for open positions of Applied Mathematics Fellows, with
an expected start date of July 1, 2014. These positions are annual
(twelve-month), academic appointments at the rank of Lecturer,
renewable for up to three years depending on continuing curricular
needs and performance.
These positions are designed to enrich and broaden the intellectual landscape in applied mathematics at Harvard University, in both education and research. Successful candidates will be expected to carry out research programs either independently or collaboratively; they will ordinarily also teach two courses per year and participate in advising and mentoring undergraduates. The expectation is for these positions to be filled by early career applied mathematicians who are within 2-3 years of having receiving their doctorate.
Candidates are required to have a doctorate in mathematics, applied mathematics or a related field by the expected start date. In addition, we seek scholars who possess significant promise as researchers and a strong record of teaching undergraduate or graduate students
