Senior Lecturer in Applied Mathematics
The Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences seeks
applicants for the position of Senior Lecturer in Applied
Mathematics, with an expected start date of July 1, 2014. This
position will be for five years and may be renewed.
The position of Senior Lecturer is reserved for instructors who have demonstrated excellence in teaching. We are particularly interested in candidates who have demonstrated their excellence in and commitment to introductory undergraduate instruction in applied mathematics, and applicants whose interests and experience focus on teaching, pedagogy, and classroom innovations.
In addition to teaching at least two courses per year and advising and mentoring students, the Senior Lecturer will assist the Area Dean and directors of undergraduate studies for Applied Mathematics with curricular planning, course development, and course scheduling. The Senior Lecturer may also supervise other non-ladder instructors associated with the applied mathematics concentration.
Candidates are required to have a doctorate by the expected start date.
