Reports to the Department of Residence; supervises, evaluates and directs full-time Residence Life Coordinators in their daily operations; fosters and promotes individual and community development in residence system; collaborates on University-wide enterprises related to residents experiences; provides leadership and input on University-wide educational initiatives; responds to student critical incidents; provides leadership in the administration of the Department of Residence student code of conduct; and coordinates student leadership and departmental promotion programs.
Masters degree in higher education administration, college student personnel or related field plus at least four years of leadership experience in college or university housing required. Supervisory and managing student discipline experience; demonstrated ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with diverse populations, lead teams, and effectively communicate with others also required. Strong problem-solving skills, proficiency in written and oral communication; and management, organization, and administrative skills preferred. On-call, evening, weekend, and holiday work necessary. Criminal and other relevant background checks required.
