Job Description: Enterprise Systems is currently seeking an entry-level ERP Analyst to join our team. Enterprise Systems, a division of University of Florida Information Technology, (UFIT) and the Office of the CIO, maintains and operates the software that powers UF's enterprise wide computer systems creating the technological foundation for the campus' academic and administrative business functions. We are looking for skilled team members who enjoy using their creative talents to produce business solutions which address the needs of our customers The IT Analyst 1 is an entry-level position that, under general supervision of the Manager for Application Support within Enterprise Systems (ES), provides day-to-day support of the University's ERP and related systems. They will assist with analyzing business users' needs to determine technical feasibility and solutions. They also assist with full systems life cycle; designing, coding, testing, implementing, maintaining and supporting software, including solutions. Develop technical documentation such as designs, specifications, processes, workflows and communications. IT Analysts are also called on to simulate or recreate user problems to resolve operating difficulties and identify problems. Carry out procedures to ensure that all systems, products and services meet organization standards and end-user requirements. Assist in testing software to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree and one year of appropriate experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational\/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
Preferred Qualifications Self-starter requiring limited direct supervision who adapts easily to changing work environments and requirements. Core Competencies: Teamwork\\:Interaction Communication Analytical thinking and problem solving Business knowledge Software applications Usability engineering Quality control Business process management Technology awareness Workload management Skills: - Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills - Experience with Oracle ERP modules including new implementations, upgrades, operations and maintenance. - Experience gathering and documenting system requirements and documenting functional design for business applications package solutions and related implementation issues from a functional perspective. - Experience developing and conducting quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) testing of software. - Competent in the use of Microsoft Office Suite including work processing and spreadsheet, and project management tools and Visio. - Knowledge and training in Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), as well as Change Management and configuration Management best practices. - Knowledge of Oracle User Productivity Kit (UPK) and Oracle Online Learning Management (OLM). - Basic knowledge and experience in enterprise accounting. - Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
