MASTER OF SCIENCE IN MARKETING RESEARCH PROGRAMS
Michigan State University, Broad College of Business, Department of Marketing is seeking applications for an advising specialist for the full-time and part-time Master of Science in Marketing Research Programs. Entry-level candidates are expected to have a Bachelor's degree in business or related field combined with three to five years' experience in program management, marketing, recruiting, or communication management. A Master's degree in business or related field combined with five or more years' experience in program management, marketing, recruiting, or communication management is preferred.
The specialist will be responsible for academic advising, career development, and assisting with internships and position placement. Advising for students will include curriculum selection, monitoring student progress; assist with internships, position placement support, and processing graduate certification among other student management tasks. Other duties include managing the recruitment process through advising and promotional activities, providing administrative support for program faculty (including travel), conference support, financial document processing, and coordination of advisory board meetings. The specialist will also assist students regarding career preparation, coordinating applications with MSU admissions, resume writing, interview skill development, advising students on offer negotiation, coordination for academic programs, and assisting with onboarding processes for the full-time and part-time programs.
