The Gender and Sexuality Studies Program at St. Lawrence University is seeking applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor or Visiting Instructor for the 2014-2015 academic year. St. Lawrence University is a small, liberal arts college in upstate New York committed to equal opportunity, affirmative action, and diversity.  Gender and Sexuality Studies is a vibrant interdisciplinary program that is committed to cultivating critical inquiry through excellence in teaching and through collegial exchange and collaboration.  We are seeking candidates working in the areas of gender, sexuality, race and the media.  Areas of teaching will include: Gender and Society; Gender, Sexuality and the Media; and either Masculinities or Gender in a Global Perspective.  Applicants from interdisciplinary programs with teaching experience in gender and sexuality studies are preferred, but we will consider applicants from Sociology, English, Anthropology and Philosophy. Doctoral degrees are preferred, but not required.
