The Chemistry Department at St. Lawrence University invites applications for a one-year visiting position for a Ph.D. chemist beginning August 2014. The ability to teach upper-level biochemistry courses is preferred, but candidates with other specialties who would do an excellent job of teaching general chemistry will also be considered. We welcome applications from candidates who bring diverse cultural, ethnic and national perspectives to their scholarship and teaching. Opportunities to engage with undergraduate students in research will be available but this is not an expectation of the position. The department, housed in the Johnson Hall of Science, maintains an impressive array of instrumental resources for the support of teaching and research.
