The Department of Surgery, Division of Plastic Surgery at the George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates, an independent non-profit clinical practice group affiliated with the George Washington University, is seeking a full-time faculty member at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. Academic rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Approximately 50% of the successful candidates time will be devoted to managing the limb salvage center.
Basic qualifications: Applicants must have an interest in all areas of reconstruction including microsurgery and wound care, and must have a strong background and demonstrated interest in basic science or clinical research. Applicants must be board eligible or board certified in plastic surgery. Applicants must have demonstrated excellence in teaching as evidenced by teaching evaluations, in research as evidenced by scholarly publications or works in progress, and excellence in clinical care as evidenced by experience, fellowships, references, etc. Applicants must also be eligible for licensure in the District of Columbia.
