We are seeking talented and motivated individuals to join the University of Utah Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences as a cardiothoracic imaging radiologist. You will interpret thoracic imaging studies on-site or remotely via teleradiology or both, with work hours to fit your work style and location. As part of our team, you will provide exceptional clinical services and education for trainees while participating in or leading quality improvement, value initiatives, and research projects. Academic appointments will be at a rank commensurate with your training and experience.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you should be American Board of Radiology (or equivalent) certified or eligible, with fellowship training (or equivalent) in thoracic imaging, cardiothoracic imaging, or body imaging, including chest imaging training. You must also be eligible for a Utah medical license, with outstanding clinical and interpersonal skills being a prerequisite.

Facilities and Institution:
The Cardiothoracic Imaging section provides clinical services at the University Hospital, Huntsman Cancer Hospital (an NCI-designated premier cancer center), and multiple outpatient centers along the Wasatch Front. As part of our team, you will have access to extensive imaging resources, including multiple MRIs, dual-energy CTs, intraoperative MRIs, and PET-CT scanners, for clinical work and research. Pre-clinical imaging resources, such as micro PET-MRI and 7T MRI, are also available. The Department offers an outstanding residency program in Diagnostic Radiology and a cardiothoracic imaging fellowship program.

Research opportunities abound, with a broad case mix from the sources described above, as well as the world-class, unique support provided by the Utah Center for Advanced Imaging Research (UCAIR) in the Department. UCAIR offers international expertise in imaging sciences, including basic sciences, physics and engineering, MRI research, and CT and PET research. Additionally, the University of Utah Health Sciences offers faculty members various leadership programs and research training opportunities.
