Job Summary
The primary responsibilities of this position will be to teach three (3) course load per semester (fall and spring) in Information Technology Management at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Additionally, the selected candidate will contribute to the mission of the Lubar College by serving as the director of ITM undergraduate and master's programs. In this role, the individual selected is expected to enhance and maintain the curriculum of our undergraduate and MS programs in ITM, grow enrollments in our ITM programs, engage with employers, as well as mentor, advise students, and supervise internships. The person selected is expected to provide service to the ITM Area, College, and University, and maintain professional qualifications by engaging in practice.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Business or a closely related field, majoring in Information Technology Management/Management Information Systems or a closely related area
  • Ability to teach courses in Information Technology Management


Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
  • A Ph.D. in Business or a closely related field, majoring in Information Technology Management/Management Information Systems or a closely related area, or anticipate completion by August 2024
  • The ability to teach courses in some of the areas such as cloud computing, data analytics, database management systems, privacy and information security, fintech, and systems analysis and design
  • Excellent communication skills as evidenced by teaching evaluations, along with an ability to work collegially and collaboratively within the University and the business community
