Collaborates with department chairs and appropriate school committees, motivating faculty and staff to perform at levels consistent with accreditation and approval standards. Assumes leadership on behalf of the dean as needed. Contributes to the strategic planning of the school and guides department chairs and assigned committees to ensure implementation of strategic plans. Oversees graduate programs. Counsels with department chairs regarding promotions, tenure, performance evaluations, faculty workload assignments and reporting, faculty office assignments, guest lecturers, and related projects. Supports the joint missions of the college and school. Represents the school on assigned college committees. Assists with fundraising as needed. Supervises Information Technology team. Facilitating the grant writing and administering process. Managing faculty recruitment. Other duties as assigned by the dean.
Master's degree and four years of experience or a Bachelor's degree and six years of experience. Additional education may substitute for experience.
Preferred: Terminal degree in a business or a related field. Experience with assessment and accreditation is preferred. Familiarity with college (university) and school policies and procedures is preferred. Academic accomplishment sufficient for tenure in one of the Schools departments is preferred. Successful administrative experience is preferred.
