ATTENTION:

The Department of Political Science at the University of Wisconsin Colleges invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor of Political Science at its UW-Sheboygan and UW-Manitowoc campuses.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Ph.D. in Political Science or closely related field. ABD candidates will be considered, provided the Ph.D. is confirmed by the start of the appointment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

This appointment will have teaching expectations at the UW-Manitowoc and UW-Sheboygan campuses, which are just less than 30 miles apart along the picturesque Lake Michigan shoreline.

The successful candidate will be a broadly trained political scientist and will regularly teach lower division Political Science courses including American Government and Politics (POL 104), Introduction to Politics (POL 101) and other courses depending on the candidate's area of interest and institutional need (see the course catalogue at http://uwc.edu/catalog/courses). The academic year teaching load is 12 contact hours per semester, with no more than three course preparations per semester.

This tenure-track position requires scholarly activity in the discipline, a commitment to professional development and participation in campus and institutional service.

Starting salary is $43,000. If appointed, summer and winterim appointments offer additional opportunities for compensation.
