The Biology Department at Georgia State University, a large urban university located in downtown Atlanta, invites applications for two (2) non-tenure track Lecturer positions pending budgetary approval.  The primary responsibilities are to instruct courses during the academic year, with the possibility to teach summer classes as well. Preference will be given to candidates with a broad background in biology, especially those that can teach several of the following:  Cell/Molecular Biology including CTW (Critical Thinking through Writing) components, Anatomy and Physiology, General Biology (for majors and/or non-majors), and General and Medical Microbiology, . Instructing specialty courses and performing research with undergraduates are welcomed, as is participation in educational initiatives (STEM, etc.).  A PhD, MD, or equivalent degree is required.  The position is available to start in summer or fall of 2014 and is renewable based on annual evaluations.
