The Department of Aeronautics anticipates filling an Instructor of Aeronautics position beginning May 5th, 2014. The initial appointment will be for 20 months. Successive reappointments of up to four years in length are possible. The person hired can expect to teach aeronautics laboratory courses, mentor cadets in funded research, and teach the core (required) course Fundamentals of Aeronautics. An ABET-accredited master's degree in aeronautical or mechanical engineering with emphasis in aeronautical topics is required, as are extensive aeronautics laboratory experience and teaching or significant mentoring experience.
