Department Summary

The University of Oregon Intercollegiate Athletic Department's primary purpose is to provide a unique opportunity for student-athletes to be developed, tested, and encouraged to reach their maximum potential in every aspect of their lives. Position Summary

This position reports to the head football coach and provides support to the offense, defense, and/or special teams coaches as assigned. This position will have extensive involvement with coaches on a daily basis, both collectively and individually. The primary responsibilities will be to provide analysis and data to the head coach and assistant coaches in regard to opponents and the improvement/utilization of Oregon student-athletes' skill sets. The Football Quality Control Analyst will be instrumental in practice planning and provide strategic feedback in making recommendations for game strategies and the improvement of student-athletes' performance. This position is responsible for promoting the philosophy and objectives of the intercollegiate athletics program, including adherence to all department policies and procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of the University, the PAC-12 Conference, and the NCAA.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Four years of relevant experience in football playing, coaching, analytics or related football administrative experience in Division I collegiate or professional football, or a combination of education and relevant experience.

    Professional Competencies

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
  • Experience dealing successfully with confidential and sensitive information.
  • Excellent written, interpersonal, and oral communication skills.
  • Must be organized, team-oriented and self-motivated.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently and complete assigned duties in a timely manner.

    Preferred Qualifications

  • One year of experience editing and marking video within the XOS Game Analysis System.
  • Two years of affiliation with Division I, highly successful collegiate or professional football team.
  • Three years of experience as a Division I football coach.
  • Two years of proven leadership experience.
  • Knowledge of football offensive/defensive schemes, practice and game plans, offensive/defensive playbooks and game books at the Division I collegiate level
  • Expertise using roster management software and recruiting management software.
