The Department of Music at Indiana University of Pennsylvania invites applications for a full-time, one-year appointment in French Horn, at the Instructor or Assistant Professor level, beginning August, 2014. Rank and salary to be commensurate with education and experience. Qualifications: Master's Degree in horn performance required, doctorate or ABD preferred. Evidence of significant, recent professional horn performance and successful studio teaching required. Responsibilities: Teach undergraduate and graduate horn applied students, perform as a member of the IUP Faculty Brass and Woodwind Quintets, maintain visibility as a horn performer and teacher, conduct/direct the IUP Horn Ensemble. Other duties based on the needs of the Department. Special Instructions to Applicants: Candidates for the position must be prepared to perform a 20-minute recital, demonstrate studio teaching, and perform with the faculty brass and woodwind quintets.
