JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Director of Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning, the Recruiting Specialist will play a critical role in the development and delivery of recruitment strategies to cultivate a talented and diverse workforce. Under the guidance of the Director of Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning, the Recruiting Specialist will assist with full-cycle sourcing and recruitment related operational activities for various staff positions, delivering an inclusive, engaging, and efficient candidate experience. This role will partner with the Director of Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning to develop guidelines, processes, and resources that will aid hiring managers in the recruitment process. The Recruiting Specialist will build relationships with internal stakeholders, external community partners and organizations to support these efforts and will work closely with multiple cross-functional teams, interfacing extensively with candidates and hiring managers.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Provide support to hiring managers by conducting initial phone screenings with candidates and providing timely feedback;
  • Work with hiring managers and other campus partners in providing guidance regarding Recruiting standard procedures, processes and best practices;
  • Schedule telephone, video and in person interviews and coordinate logistics;
  • Assist in maintaining pipeline and tracking data, leveraging Excel, Workday and other databases, including core demographics, and other key reportable metrics;
  • Conduct active and passive outreach leveraging both traditional and creative methods leveraging multiple recruiting sources in addition to internet sourcing techniques to identify and connect with potential candidates;
  • Deliver comprehensive support to hiring managers and candidates throughout the full-cycle of recruitment process, to ensure smooth execution and a positive candidate experience;
  • Coordinate logistics for on campus interviews, serve as initial point of contact for candidates;
  • Assist with creating & maintaining Standard Operating Procedures for recruitment related activities;
  • Assist with creating, managing and monitoring job postings within Workday;
  • Monitor job postings on Simmons careers page to ensure postings are current and reflect positions that are actively being recruited for;
  • Track Workday communications to ensure candidates have been notified of recruitment decisions concluding searches;
  • Maintain candidate statuses within the applicant tracking system;
  • Initiate reference checks in Workday and ensure completion;
  • Assist in generating and sending out offer letters;
  • Assist in monitoring HR email for recruitment related inquiries from hiring managers and candidates;
  • Maintains HR dashboard and provides accurate reporting on recruitment and turnover data on recurring basis;
  • Work collaboratively with HR colleagues on special projects and initiatives as assigned;
  • Provide backup support to Talent Coordinator;
  • Other duties as assigned;


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience working in a relevant recruiting, sourcing, and/or human resources related environment with position with demonstrated experience in high-level client contact;


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 1-2 Years of Direct Recruiting Experience
  • Experience with Workday
  • Experience in Higher Education Environment

WORK ENVIRONMENT & CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Full-time (40-hours/week) position; eligible for a flexible, hybrid in-office/remote work setting structure.
  • Working on a computer, typing and looking at a screen for the majority of the day.
