The Department of Physiological Sciences http://physio.vetmed.ufl.edu/ at the University of Florida, College of Veterinary Medicine http://www.vetmed.ufl.edu/, seeks candidates for an Assistant or Associate Professor level, 12-month, tenure track appointment. The successful candidate will be expected to establish an independent, externally-funded research program, to teach neurobiology in the College of Veterinary Medicine professional curriculum and possibly participate in departmental graduate student training. This full time position offers outstanding scholarly and scientific resources in a collegial environment with existing departmental strengths in neurobiology, cardiovascular/respiratory physiology, toxicology, reproductive biology and stem cell research.. The University of Florida has state-of-the-art core facilities, including transgenic mouse and targeted mutagenesis, confocal and multi-photon microscopy, imaging and morphometry, cell sorting and microarray cores. Applicants must hold a PhD degree and should have postdoctoral research training.
