Job Summary:
The Getty College of Arts and Sciences comprises sixteen departments offering over 50 majors that range from the liberal arts to a rich variety of pre-professional and professional programs. The College has a student-faculty ratio of 12:1; faculty and students collaborate closely in undergraduate research, creative works, and professional activities.
Scope:
The Department of Theatre Arts at Ohio Northern University, an elite, private university in northwestern Ohio, seeks a versatile acting instructor for its BFA musical theatre and BA theatre programs. This full-time, tenure track, assistant professor of acting should have the ability to teach in all styles and genres including classical theatre, contemporary theatre, and on-camera performance.

Principal Responsibilities:
The candidate will teach in all styles and genres including classical theatre, contemporary theatre, and on-camera performance. The candidate will teach at the undergraduate level: Voice and Speech, Acting I-IV, Acting for the Camera, Business of Theatre, Introduction to the Performing Arts, Stage Combat and/or musical theatre techniques based on individual expertise. 
Additional responsibilities include directing department productions, advising, and recruiting students, serving on departmental, college, and university committees, and participating in the development and execution of departmental marketing strategies.

Required Skills:

AEA and/or SAG membership preferred. Position start date is August 2014.

Minimum Qualifications:
MFA in acting or commensurate professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
MFA in acting or commensurate professional experience required. AEA and/or SAG membership preferred. Preference will be given to candidates with additional expertise in stage combat and/or musical theatre techniques.
