Tenure-Track Assistant Professor Positions

The Charles L. Brown Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Virginia seeks applications for two tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant Professor rank. Exceptional candidates at the Associate Professor level will also be considered. The search focuses on the two areas of (a) signal processing and (b) mixed signal/RF integrated circuits (RFICs); other related areas of Electrical and Computer Engineering will be considered.

Competitive candidates will have a record of research excellence as well as a creative vision for an ongoing high-impact sustainable research program. Visions that include intra- and inter-departmental collaboration are particularly desirable. Potential collaborations in signal processing would include emerging areas such as biological signal processing, medical signal processing, and big data, while potential collaborations in mixed signal/RFICs would include ultra low power mixed-signal design, wireless sensor systems, RFICs for millimeter-wave systems, and THz circuits and systems.

A strong commitment to education of undergraduate and graduate students is essential. Prior teaching experience is preferred, but not required.

In addition to research and education, all tenure-track faculty are expected to participate in service to the department, to the university and to the international research community. Finally, candidates must possess an earned Doctorate in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

To apply submit a candidate profile on-line at Jobs@UVa (https://jobs.virginia.edu) and search on posting 0613275.
