The Forensic Science Program in the Department of Chemistry at Eastern Kentucky University is seeking applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the area of Forensic Biology with appointment to begin August 15, 2014. Major teaching responsibilities are in the area of Forensic Molecular Biology with an associated lab and supporting courses in the area of chemistry or biology. Candidates for the position must have Ph.D. degree in Biology, Chemistry or a related field from a regionally accredited or internationally recognized institution, and a commitment to excellence in teaching, service and scholarly activity. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching or professional experience in forensic DNA analysis. Research expectations include the establishment of an independent research program commensurate with a master-level institution.
