Job Summary:

Clemson University seeks candidates for two tenure-track positions (1) Associate Professor and (1) Assistant Professor in an expanding Youth Development Leadership within the College of Health, Education, and Human Development.  Job responsibilities include teaching in an established M.S. degree program in Youth Development Leadership and a recently approved B.S degree program in Youth Development Studies.  Successful candidates will be expected to maintain an active program of scholarship, including seeking external research funding and publications.   Collaboration across academic units is encouraged and expected.   Additionally, successful candidates will engage in service to the profession and University.  This position is available starting in Summer or Fall semester, 2014.


Required Qualifications:  Ph.D. in a relevant social science discipline (e.g., Human Development, Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Family Studies, Parks and Recreation or other related disciplines).  The candidate should have a record of scholarly activity and publication as well as experience with graduate students.  Experience in conducting social science research is required.  Understanding the needs of non-traditional students and experience teaching online are desireable.

Standard Hrs: 37.5; Salary commensurate with credentials and education.
