Academic Affairs: Washington State University Tri-Cities (WSUTC) invites applications and nominations for the position of Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs. WSUTC seeks a leader with a strong record of accomplishments, suited to guide management, education, research, and outreach at a land grant university. The Vice Chancellor is responsible for administration of all academic programs with budget oversight. Responsibilities include working with faculty, staff, and students to ensure outstanding educational programs, excellence in research and outreach activities. The Vice Chancellor will develop and maintain productive relationships with alumni and with the external business community. The position is at the rank of professor (tenure or tenure-track). Minimum qualifications include earned doctoral degree, academic credentials, or professional qualification that merit appointment as a tenured Professor, a record of increasing administrative responsibility including fiscal and managerial skills and a demonstrated commitment to equity and inclusion for diverse populations. Duties and Responsibilities: Coordination and collaboration in academic planning, budgeting, hiring, capital and space planning, increasing research and scholarship among faculty and staff, annual and third-year reviews, tenure and promotion, student outcomes assessment, student recruitment and retention, marketing, communication, brand development and other applicable academic, system-wide advocacy for campus academic programs, and administrative processes. This position is an administrative position at WSUTC and will participate on the Chancellor's Executive team. Position is open until filled; screening will begin on February 17, 2014.
