The Department of Mathematics at Utah Valley University invites qualified individuals to apply for a tenure-track position as an assistant professor of mathematics education beginning in August 2014. Duties include teaching mathematics courses for elementary education majors and other mathematics courses as required. Experience using technology in the mathematics classroom recommended. The teaching load is 12 credit hours per semester.  Applicants should have an engaging and effective teaching style and be involved in scholarly activities. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in mathematics education by August 2014 as well as a masters degree in mathematics and a minimum of three years experience in K-12 mathematics teaching. With its main campus in Orem, Utah Valley University is a rapidly growing institution which emphasizes undergraduate education.
