New York Institute of Technology (NYIT), an independent senior comprehensive college with campuses on Long Island, in Manhattan, and in various countries around the globe providing graduate and undergraduate education to over 16,000 students, seeks applications for a tenure-track faculty position beginning fall 2014 in the Department of Life Sciences of College of Arts and Sciences. Candidates for this Life Sciences position at assistant professor level must hold a PhD degree in Organic Chemistry or a closely related field. The successful candidate is expected to have postdoctoral experience and a record of scholarly publications. Evidence of excellence in undergraduate teaching and a demonstrated commitment to research are required. The position will include teaching introductory and advanced courses in organic chemistry as well as other courses appropriate to the faculty members background and interests at our Manhattan and Old Westbury campuses.
