Dakota State University is accepting applications for a 9-month, tenure-track position in reading and language arts pedagogy effective August 2014. Requirements include an earned doctorate in education or in a reading and language arts discipline (ABD or Master’s considered for a term position), expertise in reading and language arts education, K-12 teaching experience, and teaching with technology. Teaching responsibilities include K-8 language arts methods, K-8 reading methods, Literacy: data based teaching, and Introduction: literacy assessment and remediation. Depending on qualifications, responsibilities may also include graduate courses in educational technology integration, e-learning, and computer supported collaborative learning. The successful applicant will also assume duties related to research productivity, supervising field experiences, student advisement, committee work, and service to the university and community. Experience with a yearlong residency professional development model is preferred. Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience.
