Theatre Arts: Playwriting-Theatre Arts Program - Columbia University, School of the Arts. The Theatre Program seeks to fill a position either as an Associate Professor (tenure-track research faculty), or as an Associate Professor of Professional Practice (practice faculty), to direct the MFA Playwriting Concentration effective July 1, 2014. The candidate must have a vibrant professional practice, substantial teaching experience and the ability to give vision and direction to the playwriting program. Candidates for Associate Professor of the Arts (tenure-track research position) must have a demonstrated capacity for creative work and exhibit the potential for continuing to make influential professional or artistic contributions, as well as significant contributions to their areas of pedagogy. Graduate and undergraduate teaching experience required. Candidates for Associate Professor of Professional Practice of the Arts must have a demonstrated capacity for creative work and exhibit the potential for continuing to make significant contributions to their areas of professional practice and accompanying pedagogy. Graduate and undergraduate teaching experience required. Bachelor's degree or equivalent required. Master's degree or equivalent experience preferred. Salary commensurate with experience.
