Position
Summary:


The Director of Student Success is a strategic and dynamic leader, dedicated to fostering a high-touch, comprehensive educational experience for Crummer students and alumni. This role necessitates a visionary approach, focusing on enhancing student engagement, career success, and lifelong alumni relationships. The Director leads a team that focuses on career services, professional and leadership development, and student services, as well as providing leadership for initiatives that enrich the academic journey, bridge the gap between education and career, and cultivate a vibrant, supportive community, ensuring Crummer's reputation for excellence and personal development.
  • Partner with Admission, Marketing, and Alumni Relations to determine strategies and processes for delivering relevant and innovative programming and services. Create alignment and efficiencies, and transparent coordination and communication.
  • Remove barriers to student learning and development by representing and advocating on behalf of graduate business students. Create and monitor systems to ensure the Student Success staff identify and assess student needs and work with students to implement success strategies for program completion. Assist students in accessing internal and external resources and collaborate with other institutional departments to implement teaching, learning, and support strategies.
  • Ensure appropriate data reports are generated following AACSB, GMAC, MBA CSEA, GBSSA, and/or other organizations' standards.
  • Participate as an active member of the Academic Integrity Committee. Partner with the Committee Chair and Associate Dean to review alleged student infraction(s) and determine appropriate sanctions if applicable.
  • Manage operating budgets in coordination with area leaders. Ensure sound fiscal responsibility in support of strategic priorities.
  • Partner with Student Success peers working within the undergraduate (CLA) and part-time (Holt) programs at Rollins College to leverage resources and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Engagement: Develop and implement innovative strategies to deepen relationships with students and alumni.
  • Student Experience: Oversee the delivery of student services, ensuring high satisfaction, and success rates.
  • Career Services Enhancement: Enhance career services, ensuring robust job placement and internship opportunities.
  • Alumni Engagement: Strengthen alumni networks and facilitate their involvement in support initiatives.
  • Community Building: Foster an inclusive community that encourages the active involvement of students and alumni.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the Student Success team, promoting a culture of excellence and professional growth.

Qualifications
& Education:

  • Master of Business Administration, Master of Human Resources, or related advanced degree.
  • A minimum of five years of exempt-level work experience with demonstrated success in student services, organizational development, or related fields (preferably in a business environment).
  • A minimum of five years of leadership experience, successfully managing the performance of exempt and non-exempt staff, in a small office environment.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Demonstrate strong executive presence through excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Effectively communicate ideas, opportunities, and solutions to diverse audiences. Possesses strong public speaking and presentation skills, including the ability to positively interact with individuals on all levels to achieve common goals. Practice active listening, demonstrate confidence, lead with empathy, and embrace a culture of DEIB.
  • Ability to contribute ideas to improve internal processes for larger organizations.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Exercise professional judgment and discretion when addressing student-related issues and concerns.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and Canvas.
  • Demonstrated experience in data and budget management, as well as experience presenting data to diverse audiences.

Work Environment:
  • Campus-based and fast-paced office environment.
  • Regular use of a computer and databases.
  • Travel and participate in organizations, seminars, conferences, committees, and events outside Rollins.
  • Flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends, is required on an “as needed” basis.
