The University of Central Florida invites applications for a non-tenure track instructor or lecturer position for its Health Sciences Pre-Clinical (HSPC) program. The program is within the Department of Health Professions, located in the College of Health and Public Affairs. The assignment will include teaching; service; committee and service involvement; and participation in other appropriate internal activities that contribute to the advancement of the program and the collegial environment within the department. Full-time instructors or lecturers in the Department of Health Professions typically teach four classes per semester.

HSPC is among the largest majors at the university. Currently there are over 2,500 students in the major and over 550 students in the minor. Position Minimum: A masters degree from an accredited institution in a health sciences-related discipline; a minimum of two years of teaching experience in health sciences; and experience teaching face-to-face and web-based courses in areas of the health sciences.

Preferences:   

A doctoral degree in a health sciences-related discipline from an accredited institution; at least two years experience teaching in a large and diverse academic program within a university setting (specifically pathophysiology, pharmacology, preventative health care, and/or other health science courses); and evidence of continuous professional development.
