Social Work Assistant/Associate Professor

Eastern Kentucky University invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position in the Social Work program in the Department of Anthropology, Sociology, and Social Work.  Applications will be accepted at the assistant or associate professor rank. The position requires an MSW and a minimum of five years of social work practice experience; a doctorate in social work or related field is required for tenure and promotion.  We seek an individual with a strong record of and commitment to teaching undergraduates (4/4 teaching load). Preference given to applicants with experience teaching social policy and macro practice, a scholarly agenda and record, sensitivity to rural needs, and dedication to active community outreach. The position requires teaching at regional campus locations as part of a regular rotation cycle. Candidates are invited to discuss their proficiency with online teaching in their letter of application.
Review of applications will commence during September 2013 and continue until the position is filled. Preliminary interviews will occur at the CSWE Annual Program Meeting in Dallas in October. Position begins August 15, 2014.
