Job Description: Provides assistance to the faculty and members of UFHCC in developing and implementing scientific studies, conducting scientific literature reviews for grant applications, scientific papers and presentations; responsible for working with faculty and members to determine the feasibility of proposed clinical trials; coordinates research programs, research council and research activities for the deputy director of research; manages research membership. Provides assistance in pre-and-post award efforts, grant review, seeks funding opportunities for faculty; prepares budgets, performs financial and database analysis; prepares documentation. This position directly impacts UFH Cancer Center's mission for research by providing administrative, scientific and research support to the UFH Cancer Center, the Deputy Director for Research, the Associate Director of Clinical Trials, and all faculty affiliated with the UFHCC.
Minimum Requirements: A high school diploma and seven years of appropriate experience. Appropriate college coursework may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
Preferred Qualifications UF Experience with pre-and-post award\\:grants management; Experience with UFPeoplesoft grants management system; Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with university, college and administrative representatives Ability to work independently Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques Ability to prepare, produce and present reports Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze data Knowledge of Microsoft Office and PeopleSoft software Normal work schedule: M-F 8 to 5, but extended hours will be required to complete time-sensitive assignments
