The New Jersey Institute of Technology School of Management is seeking candidates for an assistant/associate/full professor in innovation and entrepreneurship, marketing with an interest in new product development, accounting for technology companies, and supply chain management beginning Fall 2014. Suitable candidates will be selected and interviewed beginning January 2014.
ABOUT THE SCHOOL: The School of Management (SOM) is an AACSB-accredited school with undergraduate and masters level programs that is featured in the 2013 Princeton Review’s The Best Business Schools. As part of New Jersey’s science and technology university, SOM focuses on the management, financing, and commercialization of technology. NJIT’s Enterprise Development Center with over 90 high technology and life science companies is one of the largest business incubators in the region and provides a real world learning lab for students and faculty, allowing them to engage in activities to accelerate commercialization of technology and conduct research on management models and theories. The school has approximately 700 students and thirty faculty and teaching staff.
JOB DESCRIPTION: Duties include maintaining an active and significant research program, teaching in our undergraduate, MBA, MS, EMBA programs, and contributing service to the school. The school has a strong commitment to quality teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level, and a research agenda aimed at top-tier journals. Teaching loads and service requirements are competitive and consistent with research expectations. Competitive candidates will demonstrate successful experience with funded research (including getting grants or external funding from federal and/or local governments and industry) and will have research background and interests aligned with the University Strategic Plan incorporating Big Data or Business Systems and Processes with Sustainable Systems in areas such as energy systems, infrastructure, environment, and production systems.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum qualification is a PhD in academic area in management or closely related field. Candidates nearing completion of the PhD degree will be considered.
