Visiting Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science
Positions: Texas A&M University-Kingsville, Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science is seeking one tenure-track faculty member at the assistant professor level, and one non-tenure-track visiting assistant professor, in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. The tenure-track position begins with the Fall 2014 semester and the non-tenure-track position begins with the Spring 2014 semester.
Responsibilities: The successful candidates will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science; engage in research and scholarly activity, including peer-reviewed publication and acquisition of external funds; involve undergraduate and graduate students in research; and participate in professional, university, and community service.
Qualifications: Required: Doctoral degree in either Computer Science or Electrical Engineering from a regionally accredited institution or university, plus a minimum of 18 graduate hours in the other teaching field; excellent oral and written communication skills; and ability to relate to students. A record of accomplishment in teaching and scholarship, and attracting external funding, consistent with the rank of assistant professor is also required. Preferred: Industry experience in Electrical Engineering and/or Computer Science.
Rank and Salary: Competitive and commensurate with qualifications.
