Clinical Assistant Professor of Program Development and Evaluation


The School of Education at Boston University invites applications for a full-time, Clinical Assistant Professor, non-tenure track, with a focus on quantitative methods.  We are seeking a faculty member who shares Boston University School of Educations commitment to both the preparation of educators and the advancement of research and scholarship.

Responsibilities: The successful candidate will teach graduate courses in research methods and statistics, advise masters and doctoral students; and publish scholarly work. Further, s/he will provide research methods and statistics consultation and support to faculty who are actively engaged in the design and implementation of school/community based interventions, program evaluation, and other outreach scholarship.


This Clinical Assistant Professor non-tenure-track position begins July 1, 2014. Applicants from diverse backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.



  • An earned doctorate in education or related field is required
  • Preference will be given to applicants with training and experience in a range of research methods, including advanced quantitative methods, structural equation modeling, hierarchical linear modeling, and measurement and scaling
  • Strong interest in and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with research and grant active faculty in supporting their analyses and proposal development
  • Prior college or university teaching experience; and
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills
