The University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College invites applications for a full-time, tenure track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the Biology Department beginning August 15, 2014. UC Blue Ash College, located in Blue Ash, Ohio, is the largest regional college in Ohio and has an enrollment of approximately 6,100 students. Applicants for this position must be strong communicators and effective classroom facilitators who enjoy teaching in a culturally diverse, student-centered environment. The primary content areas for this position will include lecture and laboratory courses in introductory biology for majors and non-majors. Additional classes would include both lecture and lab in human anatomy and physiology, and other biology courses as needed. Tenure-track faculty are also expected to contribute to the mission of the college through department, college, and university service, and professional and scholarly activities.
Job Description: On a full-time basis Faculty Members principal academic functions include teaching, discovering, creating and reporting knowledge.
Minimum Qualifications: Appropriate academic degree related to department specifications and prior academic experience.
Position Qualification: The department seeks a person with an earned doctorate in Biology or a closely related field. The candidate must have college-level teaching experience.
The ideal candidate would have evidence of learner-centered teaching practices and experience serving a diverse, undergraduate population at an open-enrollment institution.
